Cultural curiosity WORKSHOPs

SCHOOL-BASED Inspiration

  • My work as a school social worker, professor, and mom centers on one belief: when children grow up curious about other cultures, belonging follows naturally.

This can be a gift for our times.

MY method

  • Ground

Every conversation about culture begins with respect. We honor the first caregivers of this land — the Indigenous communities whose stories, traditions, and wisdom laid the foundation for all who came after.

  • Share + Ask

Over time, families have arrived with their own rich stories of culture and heritage. This invites us to pause and ask: "What's your family story?" — and to create space where every answer is welcomed, valued, and heard.

  • Celebrate

Cultural curiosity is best embodied through celebration. When we honor one another's stories, we don't just learn — we connect, belong, and thrive. Have fun with it!
